We at LocumHealth are currently collaborating with a wonderful practice located in Bishop’s Stortford , looking for a qualified candidate to fill the role of Physician Associate . Here are the details:
Duties:
Attending thrombolysis and thrombectomy calls with the on-call stroke team.
Involvement in the thrombectomy referral process and coordinating patient transfer.
Inpatient ward reviews including ITU patients.
Management of hyper acute stroke admissions
Management of stroke and medical complications
Excelling in communication skills with MDT members, patients, and their families
Management of acute stroke patients and ASC step-downs
Management of rehabilitation stroke patients
Leading care planning and best-interest meetings
Qualifications:
MB BS or equivalent
Membership or Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians
Full Registration with GMC with a license to practice
Wide experience in all aspects of General (Internal) Medicine and Stroke Medicine.
Experience in other relevant medical specialties
Completion of courses relevant to Stroke Medicine and Care of the Elderly.
Ability to develop a subspecialty interest within the field of Stroke Medicine
